Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of who you really are? College can be exciting—but it can also feel like too much. Maybe you’ve always been the one who holds it all together, gets straight A’s, and never lets anyone see you struggle. But now, you're anxious all the time, you're exhausted from trying to be “on” 24/7, and even small things feel like a big deal. You might feel pressure to meet expectations—yours or your family’s—and you’re starting to wonder if any of it really feels like you. Maybe you feel like you’re constantly performing. Like you can’t ever fully relax. Or maybe you’re starting to ask big questions about your identity, your future, your values—and it’s scary to realize you don’t have all the answers yet. You don’t have to figure it out alone. I work with college students who are high achievers, perfectionists, and deep thinkers—especially those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, people-pleasing, burnout, or questions around identity and family dynamics. In therapy, you can slow down, breathe, and start untangling the pressure from what you really want. We’ll work together to help you feel more grounded, more like yourself, and more in control of your life. Sessions are confidential, affirming, and tailored to who you are—not who others expect you to be. I provide inclusive and affirming care and create a space where you don’t have to explain or defend your experiences. Online sessions available for students in CA & WA. In-person sessions available in Santa Monica, CA. If this sounds like what you need, reach out. Things can be different—and therapy is a good place to start.
Trying to balance the responsibilities of school, work, relationships and self care can be overwhelming. Do you find yourself struggling to be perfect, or comparing yourself to others that seem to be doing it "so much better"? Or maybe you have been having a hard time quieting opinions from family and friends that keep you from pursuing your goals. Pretending to be someone you are not can be stressful and often results in feeling burnt out. We can't control our external circumstances but we can control how we respond. Learn ways to feel more confident and calm. Reach out today for a 20 minute complimentary consultation.

We specialize in emerging adulthood because this developmental stage requires specific clinical expertise. You're constructing an adult identity, which means the strategies that worked in your family or in school often need updating. The ways you learned to get love, stay safe, or earn approval show up in adult relationships and sometimes constrain you in ways you can see but can't shift alone. Our therapists work psychodynamically to help you understand patterns you didn't consciously choose. We use EMDR to process past experiences that still shape your present, teach DBT skills for managing intense emotions, and apply attachment theory to understand how early relationships become blueprints for later ones. We understand the psychological tasks specific to this stage: becoming your own person while maintaining meaningful relationships, building intimacy based on reality rather than fantasy, tolerating the uncertainty inherent in creating an adult life, and developing a sense of self that can hold complexity. The therapeutic relationship becomes a space where patterns can surface, be examined, and eventually change. You get to practice being yourself without the adaptations you've relied on to get by.
College can be exciting, overwhelming, and everything in between. It’s a time of big changes, big questions, and a lot of pressure—about who you are, where you belong, and whether you’re doing “enough.” I work with college students who are navigating anxiety, body image struggles, perfectionism, and that nagging feeling of not measuring up, even when everything seems fine on the outside. If you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or just off, therapy can be a space to slow down and figure out what’s really going on. Together, we’ll explore what matters to you and what helps you feel more like you. My approach is warm, supportive, and down-to-earth. Whether you’re on campus or away, we’ll work together to help you feel more confident, grounded, and connected—both to yourself and the life you’re building.
Welcome to our practice. We have several terrific clinicians in Beverly Hills and DTLA who are privileged to work with individuals, couples and families. Our style is focused on helping you understand your development in a way that allows you to become unstuck from your concerns. Our common sense approach is aimed at helping you gain insight into your past and present, enabling you to make healthier choices about your present and future. We treat a range of concerns, and are available to work with you in many languages. It is important to us that you feel like you can be understood, on every level. Apart from psychotherapy for individuals and couples presenting with a wide range of concerns, we conduct psychoeducational assessments of ADHD, ASD and other learning disabilities and for test accommodations. I'm a licensed psychotherapist based in Los Angeles, California, specializing in work with high-achieving individuals and LGBTQ+ individuals and couples. I work with people navigating anxiety, burnout, career stress, and major life transitions, as well as LGBTQ+ families and same-sex couples, including those exploring or building parenthood. As a former lawyer and a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I bring both personal and professional experience to this work. Hi, I'm Seth Menachem, the Founder of Menachem Psychotherapy Group, and a licensed psychotherapist. At Menachem Psychotherapy Group our goal is to help you understand your history, recognize patterns in your life, resolve your inner conflicts, and live authentically. We are a group of therapists, with an array of clients, many of whom come into our office because of transitional life issues, as well as anxiety, depression, substance use disorders and Career Counseling.
Logical Behavioral Health providers are a team of dedicated behavioral health professionals who understand and prioritize your care above all else. We believe that in certain cases, good care even means providing an appropriate referral to someone outside of our office if our providers are not the best fit for your behavioral health care needs. We believe that collaboration is an important aspect of good care and have committed ourselves to collaborating with other health care professionals in your lives so that you can have the best integrated health care network working for you. The overall course of treatment will ultimately utilize a collaborative approach in helping you achieve mutually formulated treatment goals between you and your provider. Goals will include a reduction of symptoms and an improvement in functioning. If, during the course of treatment, you believe that you need a referral to a psychiatrist or other health care professional, we have the resources to help provide you with the most appropriate referral to optimize your care.
