Therapists for college students near University of Pennsylvania
The Anxiety and OCD Treatment Center of Philadelphia (AOTCP) specializes in providing compassionate and effective treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and various anxiety disorders. We work with many anxious students in the area, providing tailored therapy to address a spectrum of OCD and anxiety related disorders commonly experienced by students. In addition to OCD and generalized anxiety, we help with related challenges such as test/performance anxiety, social anxiety and social skill impairments, maladaptive perfectionism, executive functioning difficulties, and other forms of neurodiversity. We use evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help students manage their symptoms and relate to their emotions differently, ultimately helping them more deeply engage in college life.

Hey! My name is Jordan (she/hers) and I am currently accepting new clients for individual talk therapy, either virtually or in person at Intersection Therapy's office in Center City Philadelphia. As a counselor, I would be a great fit for anyone looking to work on themes related to shame and self-compassion, body-image, sex and sexuality, dating/relationships, family dynamics, phase of life changes–and especially, gender exploration. As a queer, Jewish, creative person, I prioritize meeting an individual where they are in their story, including their particular intersection of identities–whether it be sexuality, race, gender, disability, illness, or anything else. My sessions are affirming spaces where you can wonder about the wonder that is you! Please contact me for a free 15 min consultation phone call if you'd like to get a better sense of how well we would fit working together, as well as if you have any questions about how therapy can work for you. Props for getting this far–if you're reaching out for help, I am automatically impressed by you!
