I like to work with children, teens, and young adults with mental and behavioral health disorders after being emersed in the public school system for the past decade. Building a rapport and seeing my patients' confidence grow as their condition improves is my 'why'. With over eleven years of experience in inpatient, emergency, and outpatient settings, he brings a versatile and compassionate approach to therapy. Rob is passionate about supporting adults in the Black and African American community and works from a culturally sensitive, client-centered perspective. He primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and also offers EMDR for clients processing trauma. Rob believes that while we can’t always change our circumstances, we can shift our mindset—and in doing so, transform our lives. Hi! I’m Annie, and I’m a licensed social worker. I often work with individuals who have experienced trauma. I use a relational & feminist framework to help clients understand the role of relationships, culture, & society throughout their lives, and how those things affect working towards healing and joy. My past experience includes crisis management, survivor advocacy, trauma psychoeducation, supportive counseling with folks who experienced sexual violence during incarceration, mindfulness group work, and community outreach.
